Lochan 1 v 4 Ardrossan Castle
Castle got off to the best possible start to life in the Truckpoint Ayrshire Premier League with a 4-1 victory at Lochan. It didn't always look like things were going to go to plan as Lochan took a first half lead but the half time team talk from Manager Neil Watson inspired the team to fight back. When Gibb was upended in the box Raymond Mcbreen equalised from the spot. Despite missing a host of chances and it perhaps not looking like it would be Castles day, Thomas Donovan made it 2-1. The striker took himself to the top of the goal scoring charts when he netted his second and castles third. Debutant Shug McIlroy made sure of the victory with minutes remaining as he made it 4-1. If castle continue to play in this manner they will easily preserve their Premier League status.
